Hey there! My name is Kayla Edwards, CPP (Certified Professional Photographer.) My photography journey started in 2012 at age 16 and began professionally in 2015. I was blessed to purchase a long abandoned 1936 service station in my small town of New Market, AL in 2017. We turned it into my dream studio and have been busy growing my business ever since.

When I'm away from the camera, I find peace at home, in nature, and with my husband and animals. Despite my fast-paced and extroverted career, I recharge best in quiet, unplugged solitude. I enjoy exploring, hiking, gardening, cooking, and occasionally binging true crime or nature survival podcasts.

Through 2020 - 2022 my husband & I dealt with the sudden onset of a severe illness that nearly took his life. I had to step back from the studio to become his primary caregiver. Despite numerous setbacks, multiple surgeries, and many sleepless hospital nights in the wild covid era, we persevered. It was on the journey to reclaim our lives that I discovered one my life’s greatest passions: U.S. National Parks.

Being a true southern girl, I already loved everything that nature & the great outdoors has to offer, but I hadn’t experienced anything like the great American West. From our very first hike down in the Grand Canyon in 2021, I was HOOKED. Forever changed! We set a goal of visiting every U.S, National Park together. As of writing in Jan of 2024 we have completed 14/63 National Parks.

Hiking, experiencing, and photographing these breathtaking landscapes has become my greatest passion, filling me with fulfillment and a deep sense of purpose. Just recently, we conquered our toughest hike yet in Yosemite, California, covering 18 miles and ascending 2,500 feet in elevation. These experiences have already transformed my life in ways I never imagined, teaching me the immense healing power of nature and the boundless beauty of God’s creations around us.

I'm thrilled to be back to full-time work with a renewed focus, inspired energy, and a burning passion to document your lives in the beautiful way you deserve.
